Guangdong recently took the lead in introducing the "Guangdong Provincial Arts lighting industry standard system planning and roadmap (2016-2020)", which is also the first industrial standard system planning and roadmap in Guangdong led by the Professional Standardization Technical Committee.

Performing lighting industry is an indispensable part of the cultural industry. The performing arts equipment industry represented by performing arts lighting and sound system has been rapidly developed. It has become the largest and most concentrated professional lighting and sound stage equipment industry base in China and even in the world.

According to reports, Guangdong has about 2,000 professional lighting and sound stage equipment manufacturers, accounting for two thirds of the national total, performing arts equipment export accounting for more than 70% of the national total, the output ＆#118alue accounts for about 80% of the total output ＆#118alue of the industry. Guangdong Performing Arts lighting and sound stage equipment in the Olympic Games, the World Expo, the Asian Games and the Universiade and other major activities shine, has a group of well-known leading enterprises at home and abroad. However, there is still a certain gap between the performance lighting industry in Guangdong and the domestic and overseas advanced levels in terms of innovation capability, brand awareness and market regulation.

According to the plan, the standard system of Guangdong performing arts lighting includes 262 international standards, national standards, industrial standards and local standards, and 79 standard proposals are put forward, of which 19 are urgently needed. Next, Guangdong Performing Arts Lighting Standardization Technical Committee will promote the establishment of lighting industry expert committee and the standard technology alliance, the urgent need to develop local standards for classification, a planned, focused on completing the revision of local standards within five years. At the same time, the local standards as a draft, and actively declare the industry standards, national standards or international standards projects for the lighting industry in the country regulate the development and growth to provide a strong impetus.
